Speaking at a symposium an MIT in October 2014, Musk expressed concern that advancements in AI could have unintended—and frightening—consequences for us humans. “Sometimes what will happen is a scientist will get so engrossed in their work that they don’t really realize the ramifications of what they’re doing” Musk cautioned during the World Government Summit in Dubai this past February.
